Select the activities you would like to be played and place them in the required order. This is useful for learners to be able to work through a set of activities independently.
Sound and video options
Decide if you would like sound and video to be played automatically when a page is displayed, or in response to the user's input. Also choose whether the user must wait for any sound or video to finish playing before they can move onto the next page. (This is very useful if the user has a habit of pressing the switch/mouse/spacebar indiscriminately.)
Delay
SwitchIt! Maker 2 has a useful 'pre-acceptance delay' function. This is ideal for students who make brief involuntary switch presses which you don't want the program to recognise, for example as a result of tremor. If you set the delay to 0.5 seconds, the program will only accept switch presses that last longer than 0.5 seconds.
Page number display
Decide whether to have the page numbers of your activity displayed on the screen as it is being played.
Colour options
Set the colour of the text and background throughout your activities. This can be useful to create high contrast colour combinations, for learners with visual impairment. It can also be useful to quickly and easily display an activity without the accompanying text, without deleting it all! Simply set the background and text to the same colour.
Slideshow Mode
Use this option if you would like your activity to run as a slideshow or a presentation, for example, in the background at a parents' evening.
